England crushed Pakistan by 194 runs inside four days at Lord’s to seal a 2-0 series victory with a match to spare, its first Test series win since December 2024.

Chasing a daunting 389, Pakistan was bowled out for 194 shortly after tea, with Saud Shakeel providing the only real resistance. He fell just short of a century, caught on the boundary for 97—the highest individual score by either side in the series.

England needed only 18 wickets after opener Imam-ul-Haq missed the match entirely due to a torn left calf sustained on day one. Ollie Robinson was the destroyer-in-chief, finishing with eight for 35 in the match, including four for 24 on the final day.

Pakistan’s batting frailties were stark—it has yet to post a 200-run total in the series—making Shakeel’s gritty stand with Shan Masood the afternoon’s highlight.

The pair added 97 runs from 14-3, frustrating England for nearly four hours before Robinson broke through by trapping Masood. He then removed Mohammad Rizwan for his 99th Test wicket before being withdrawn. The decider, though now meaningless for the series result, is scheduled to take place on September 9 in Birmingham.
