Amol Muzumdar and Naval Singh were given Coach of the Year award at the Sportstar Aces 2026, held in Mumbai on Friday.<\/p>\n

Indian women team\u2019s bowling coach, Aavishkar Salvi, received the award on behalf of Muzumdar.<\/p>\n

While Muzumdar guided the Indian women\u2019s cricket team to its maiden ODI World Cup triumph, Naval helped Sachin Yadav begin his international javelin throw journey on a high.<\/p>\n

Muzumdar\u2019s leadership was marked by tactical clarity, calm execution under pressure, and an unwavering belief in his players, helping the team overcome early setbacks and peak when it mattered most. Muzumdar\u2019s inspirational messaging \u2014 including a now celebrated rallying speech before the final \u2014 strengthened the team\u2019s confidence and unity, allowing them to produce a commanding performance in the title match.<\/p>\n

The Dronacharya awardee, Naval, meanwhile, guided Sachin to a gold at the National Games and the Federation Cup in 2025. He also bagged silver at the Asian Championships, his first-ever international meet. Sachin finished fourth with a Personal Best of 86.27m at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo – the best result of the entire event from India\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n

The 2026 Sportstar Aces Awards are presented by Amul, co-presented by Casagrand in association with SRM Institute of Science and Technology. SBI, Christ University, Bharat Petroleum, LIC, Sports Authority of Telangana, NTPC, Indian Softball Cricket Foundation, Jaquar And Company Private Limited are associate partners.
