Sunrisers Hyderabad all-rounder Abhishek Sharma has been heavily fined for breaching the Indian Premier League Code of Conduct during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Abhishek was fined 25 per cent of his match fees and has also accumulated one demerit point for his conduct at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Why was Abhishek Sharma fined?<\/h4>\n

Abhishek was found guilty of violating Article 2.3 of the IPL Code of Conduct \u2014 a clause that deals with the use of obscene language or profanity.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe admitted to the Level 1 offence under Article 2.3 and accepted the Match Referee\u2019s sanction. For Level 1 breaches of the Code of Conduct, the Match Referee\u2019s decision is final and binding,\u201d the League said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Abhishek scored a quickfire inning of 48 off just 21 balls, hitting four fours and as many sixes. However, he was later dismissed by Blessing Muzarabani, prompting him to express his frustration while walking back to the pavilion.<\/p>\n

The exact incident which led to the sanction, however, has not been specified by the League.<\/p>\n
