Rajasthan Royals all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja said he was pleased the \u200bmiddle order got the chance to \u200cbat under pressure on Wednesday after \u200bthey came to the rescue \u2060when the top three failed to cash in against Lucknow Super Giants.<\/p>\n

Openers Vaibhav \u200cSooryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal, who are among the Indian Premier \u200cLeague\u2019s top-six scorers this season so \u200cfar, \u2060fell in quick succession along \u2060with Dhruv Jurel, leaving the visitor struggling at 32-3.<\/p>\n

However, Jadeja struck an unbeaten 43 off \u200b29 balls as \u200cthe middle order lifted Rajasthan to 159-6 in 20 overs on a slow pitch. Lucknow was then bowled \u200cout for 119 as Rajasthan \u200bcollected a 40-run win.<\/p>\n

\u201cI personally think that we (middle order) got \u2060a chance to bat at the right time and that too in a \u200cpressure situation,\u201d Jadeja, who was named player of the match, told reporters.<\/p>\n

\u201cSometimes in the past the top three are performing and making runs and the rest of the batting didn\u2019t (get \u200cto bat) much and they got exposed \u200bin important matches.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo it\u2019s a good thing that in the middle \u2060phase of the tournament, all the \u2060players are batting and that too in pressure situations.\u201d<\/p>\n

Rajasthan, which is \u200csecond in the points table, next faces Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday.<\/p>\n
