In a statement earlier in the day, the BCCI said the summit clash, originally slated for Bengaluru\u2019s M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, had been moved \u201cowing to certain requirements from the local association and authorities that were beyond the scope of BCCI\u2019s established guidelines and protocols.\u201d The final will now be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on May 31.<\/p>\n
Reacting to the development, KSCA said it wished \u201cto place on record a clarification regarding the hosting of the IPL Playoffs & Finals in Bengaluru.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cAt the outset, KSCA expresses its disappointment that the IPL Playoff matches have been allotted to other centres,\u201d the statement read. It added that KSCA president and former India pacer Venkatesh Prasad had \u201cpersonally\u201d engaged with the BCCI and formally conveyed the state association\u2019s \u201cpreparedness, willingness, and keen interest\u201d in hosting the matches.<\/p>\n
KSCA further highlighted that IPL matches in Bengaluru this season had been \u201cwidely appreciated for their smooth execution, crowd management, operational efficiency, and overall spectator experience.\u201d<\/p>\n
The association also clarified that its communication to the BCCI was \u201cpurely factual, operational, and clarificatory in nature,\u201d aimed at ensuring \u201ctransparency and clarity regarding logistical and stakeholder-related requirements associated with hosting such high-profile matches.\u201d<\/p>\n
While stating that \u201cthe specific reasons\u201d behind the decision had not been formally communicated, KSCA said it \u201cfully respect[s] the prerogative and decision-making authority of the BCCI in this regard.\u201d<\/p>\n
