PIB Fact Check:<\/strong> In this era of Digital India, where government facilities have gone online, cyber criminals have also invented new ways of cheating. The latest case is related to traffic e-challan. Recently, the government’s fact check agency PIB Fact Check has issued an important warning on the social media platform ‘X’, alerting people about fake traffic challan messages.<\/p>\nAccording to PIB Fact Check, scammers are sending messages to common people through SMS or WhatsApp. In these messages it is claimed that your traffic challan is pending and it needs to be filled immediately. These messages look very official, due to which people fall into the trap out of fear or haste. Scammers are sending suspicious links, APK files or PDF attachments with these messages. As soon as a user clicks on these links, his phone may get hacked or malware may be installed on his device.<\/p>\n
