{"id":165370,"date":"2026-05-09T07:56:58","date_gmt":"2026-05-09T13:26:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newslink360.space\/?p=165370"},"modified":"2026-05-09T07:56:58","modified_gmt":"2026-05-09T13:26:58","slug":"australias-mitchell-starc-eyes-2027-odi-world-cup","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newslink360.space\/?p=165370","title":{"rendered":"Australia\u2019s Mitchell Starc eyes 2027 ODI World Cup"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"content-body-70959112\" itemprop=\"articleBody\">Australia fast bowler Mitchell Starc remains driven by the competitive nature \u200bof cricket and hopes to extend his 16-year international career \u200cfor a few more years, he said on \u200bSaturday, keeping the door open for a \u2060potential appearance at the 2027 World Cup.<\/p>\n<p>The 36-year-old left-armer, Australia\u2019s third-highest wicket-taker with 759 across formats &#8211; behind only Shane Warne \u200cand Glenn McGrath &#8211; retired from Twenty20 internationals in September to prolong his career in Tests and \u200c50-over cricket.<\/p>\n<p>The next ODI World Cup is scheduled \u200cto \u2060be held in South Africa, Zimbabwe and \u2060Namibia in October-November 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m pretty competitive, so I just enjoy that aspect of cricket,\u201d Starc told reporters. \u201cFor Australia, I get to play \u200bwith some of my \u200cbest mates. I enjoy the hard work, but I also enjoy competing, and it\u2019s still fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Starc, who has been managing elbow and shoulder niggles, said his \u200cbody was holding up well despite the demands \u200bof international cricket.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s always something going on.
