Chennai Super Kings (CSK) suffered another injury blow in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2026) as all-rounder Jamie Overton has been ruled out for the remainder of the season due to a right thigh injury.<\/p>\n

South Africa\u2019s Dian Forrester will join CSK for INR 75 lakh as a replacement for Overton.<\/p>\n

Forrester, who is also an all-rounder, made his debut in March 2026 against New Zealand and has featured in five international games, scoring 83 runs.<\/p>\n

The 25-year-old recently featured Rawalpindiz in the Pakistan Super League, where he scored 132 runs and picked up two wickets in six outings.<\/p>\n

CSK announced Wednesday night that Overton returned to the United Kingdom for futher assessment and management for his thigh injury.<\/p>\n

Overton has been one of the standout performers for the side this season, making an impact with both bat and ball.<\/p>\n

Overton has become the latest casualty in what has been an injury-riddled campaign for the five-time champion.<\/p>\n
