Often people keep visiting offices, malls or markets just because they do not get parking. This not only wastes time but also creates unnecessary traffic jams on the roads. But under the Smart City Mission, major cities of the country are now being equipped with &#8216;Smart Parking System&#8217;. Under this modern system, people can book parking space through mobile app even before leaving home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How does this smart parking work?<\/strong><br \/>Sensor based technology (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence work behind this entire system. Smart sensors have been installed at all major parking lots in the city. These sensors are directly connected to the central server and mobile app. As soon as a vehicle moves out of the parking slot, the space starts showing as &#8216;vacant&#8217; on the app.<\/p>\n<p><strong>You will get relief from the hassle of jam and parking<\/strong><br \/>You can check the parking in that area half an hour or an hour before reaching your destination and book a slot for your vehicle by making online payment. By the time you reach there, that place will be reserved for you. With the arrival of this mobile app, the two biggest problems of cities, traffic jam and parking, will be solved simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Time and fuel savings<\/strong><br \/>Research shows that about 30% of the traffic jams in cities are caused only by those vehicles which are crawling on the roads in search of parking. When people know in advance where their place is booked, they will go straight there. This will save fuel and also reduce pollution.<\/p>\n<p><strong>End illegal parking on the road<\/strong><br \/>Due to lack of space, people often park their vehicles on the roadside, which creates a bottleneck situation. Smart parking app will curb the habit of illegal parking.
