The company has announced that they will launch a total of 15 new cars in the next four years. The first car will be launched in the market before Diwali this year.<\/p>\n<p>This launch is part of the planning of JSW Group Chairman Sajjan Jindal and Managing Director Parth Jindal. The company is focusing on New Energy Vehicles (NEV), which will include plug-in hybrid (PHEV) and electric variants. The first car will be an SUV based on the Jetour T2, which can be priced between \u20b9 15 to \u20b9 30 lakh.<\/p>\n<p>JSW Motors is building a new factory in Shambhaji Nagar, Maharashtra with an investment of Rs 14,000 crore. The construction of the plant is going on at a fast pace and production is expected to start from August. The company is aiming for 80% localization, which will reduce costs and promote Make in India.<\/p>\n<h3>Launch Plan and Timeline<\/h3>\n<p>According to the strategy of JSW Motors, the first car will be launched before Diwali 2026. After this, another model will come in 2027. 2-3 models will be launched in the first year. In total, 15 vehicles will be launched in four years, which means on an average a new car can be launched every three months.<\/p>\n<h3>Product range and powertrain<\/h3>\n<p>The company is working on various NEV powertrains. Initial models will be plug-in hybrids, while the focus will increase on mass market electric vehicles by 2027. The price range will start from \u20b910-12 lakh to above \u20b930 lakh, targeting different consumer segments.<\/p>\n<h3>Factory and localization<\/h3>\n<p>The factory being built in Maharashtra will have an annual capacity of 5 lakh units in the first phase. The plant will be ready by November-December. The company plans to achieve high localization soon, starting with CKD parts.<\/p>\n<h3>Marketing and Dealership<\/h3>\n<p>JSW is opening its showrooms and experience centers in different cities for its branding. The first centers will open in cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Ahmedabad. This entry of JSW Motors will increase new competition in the Indian auto industry.
