Mechanically, the new Creta will retain the existing engine options. It will have 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and 1.5-litre U2 CRDi diesel engines. These engines will be available with manual, IVT, DCT and torque converter automatic gearbox. The biggest update will be the stronger hybrid powertrain. Hyundai will pair the 1.5-litre petrol engine with two electric motors and a small battery pack. This will give excellent mileage in city traffic.
