BFI President Ajay stepped in to ensure their participation.<\/p>\n<p>The decision will enable Jyoti and Aakash to join the Indian team in Guiyang, providing them with valuable international exposure and an opportunity to compete against top-level opposition while earning important ranking points on the international circuit.<\/p>\n<p>With the inclusion of Jyoti and Aakash, India\u2019s contingent for World Boxing Cup Stage 2 in Guiyang has been expanded from 18 to 20 boxers, comprising 10 men and 10 women.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fact-box\">\n<h5 class=\"main-title\">\nConsolidated Indian Squad for World Boxing Cup 2026 (Stage 2)<br \/>\n<\/h5>\n<h5 class=\"sub-title\">Women\u2019s Squad (10 Boxers):<\/h5>\n<p>Jyoti (48 kg), Minakshi (51kg), Poonam (54 kg), Prachi (57 kg), Mahi Lama (60 kg), Saneh (65 kg), Gitimoni G (70 kg), Sanamacha C (75 kg), Naina (80 kg), Alfiya Tarannum Akram Khan Pathan (+80 kg)\n<\/p>\n<h5 class=\"sub-title\">Men\u2019s Squad (10 Boxers):<\/h5>\n<p>\nRishi S (50kg), Nikhil (55kg), Anmol (60kg), Abhinash Jamwal (65kg), Deepak (70kg), Aakash (75kg), Malsawmtluanga (80kg), Jugnoo (85kg), Harsh Choudhary (90kg), Sawan G (+90kg)\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><i>&#8211; Team Sportstar<\/i><\/p>\n<h4 class=\"sub_head\">GOLF<\/h4>\n<p><b>Talwar lies T-34 at Interwetten Open<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Saptak Talwar had just one birdie and one bogey on his card as he shot an even-par 69 at the Interwetten Open, dropping to T-34 with rounds of 64-69 and a total of 5-under.<\/p>\n<p>Lars van der Vight of the Netherlands took the lead after carding a 7-under 62. He has a total score of 12-under par.<\/p>\n<p>Talwar began his second round on the first tee and played the first 15 holes at par before dropping a stroke on the 16th hole. A birdie on the 18th helped him close the round with an even-par score.<\/p>\n<p>Veer Ahlawat shot a bogey-free second round of 4-under 65, including four birdies. However, his first-round score of 2-over 71 held him back, as the cut for this week was set at 3-under par, and Ahlawat, with a total of 2-under par (71-65), missed it by one stroke.<\/p>\n<p><i>-PTI<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Sandhu top Indian, Bhullar and Kochhar make cut in Morocco; Bubba Watson leads<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Ajeetesh Sandhu carded a bogey free 3-under 70 to emerge as the top Indian at the halfway stage of the USD 2 million International Series Morocco golf tournament here.<\/p>\n<p>Sandhu, who shot 1-under 72 in the first round, is now 4-under and Tied-25th, as four-time Am Green IGPL winner, Gaganjeet Bhullar (74) slipped down to T-47 despite a run of four straight birdies on the front nine.<\/p>\n<p>Another AM Green IGPL winner, Karandeep Kochhar (72-72), at T-47, was the only other Indian to make the cut.<\/p>\n<p>Seven of the 10 Indians, who started missed the cut and they included Shauryra Bhattacharya, SSP Chawrasia and Anirban Lahiri, who all missed the mark by one shot.<\/p>\n<p>Rashid Khan, Aryan Roopa Anand and Udayan Mane were the others to make an early exit.<\/p>\n<p><i>-PTI<\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Anvitha holds her nerve to win tense play-off for her 2nd title on WPGT<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Anvitha Narender stayed composed under pressure at the finish, prevailing in a tense playoff to clinch her second title in the seventh leg of the Hero Women\u2019s Pro Golf Tour in Mysuru.<\/p>\n<p>The young Bengaluru golfer showed great resilience to stage a back-nine recovery and then beat the seasoned Vani Kapoor in the second hole of the dramatic play-off.<\/p>\n<p>Anvitha carded 1-under 69 as Vani charged up with a 6-under 64 and both and both were tied at one-under 209. She plundered 20 runs, including sixes in the last two deliveries, in the last over.<\/p>\n<p>The undefeated Warriors rode on Disha Chandak and Sreyoshi Aich\u2019s three-wicket hauls to ensure victory and sit atop the table with eight points.<\/p>\n<p>At the Eden Gardens, young southpaw Snehashish Saha\u2019s fluent half-century (68, 35b, 3&#215;4, 4&#215;6) and Karan Lal\u2019s all-round showing (44, 41b, 2&#215;4, 3&#215;6 and 1\/12) enabled Servotech Siliguri Strikers to record a 61-run victory over Novus Royals Purulia and take the top spot with eight points.<\/p>\n<p>Saha, who confidently ruled the on-side and got two reprieves, and Karan added 89 runs for the third wicket as Strikers put up a strong total.<\/p>\n<p>Left-arm spinners Akhilesh Yadav and Vishal Bhati captured three wickets apiece while Saha effected three dismissals behind the stumps in Strikers\u2019 win.<\/p>\n<p>Later in the day, riding on a fine all-round performance, Murshidabad Kings outclassed Kolkata Royal Tigers by 57 runs in the Bengal T20 League Season 3 at Eden Gardens.<\/p>\n<p>Batting first, Murshidabad Kings posted a challenging 198\/4 in their 20 overs. Rishabh Chaudhary starred with 78 off 42 deliveries, while Aditya Sharma smashed 72 off 43 to lay the foundation for a big total.<\/p>\n<p>For Kolkata Royal Tigers, Sourav Halder bagged two wickets.<\/p>\n<p>In reply, Kolkata Royal Tigers finished on 141\/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
