Before the NEET UG 2026 re-exam, the Central Government has taken a big step to ensure the security and transparency of the examination. According to reports, the government has temporarily blocked the instant messaging platform Telegram in India till June 22. This decision has been taken on the recommendation of the National Testing Agency (NTA), so that any kind of wrong information, rumor of paper leak or fraud related to the examination can be prevented.<\/p>\n

According to the information, this ban will be applicable only during the examination period and immediately thereafter. NTA says that in the recent past, Telegram was used by some groups who were claiming to provide misleading information to students related to fake question papers and paper leaks.<\/p>\n

Edit feature closed till June 30<\/strong>
It has also been said in the reports that the government has also given instructions to close the message edit feature of Telegram by June 30. According to NTA, in some cases this feature was misused, where old messages were later edited and fake documents or question papers were added. This made it appear as if the information was already available, whereas in reality it was not.<\/p>\n

NEET UG is the most important medical entrance examination of the country.<\/a> Is one of. Every year lakhs of students appear in this examination. In such a situation, it is considered very important to maintain the credibility of the examination. NTA says that it had earlier taken action to remove many Telegram channels, groups and bots, but considering the situation, intervention at the platform level became necessary.<\/div>\n

Although this decision may cause temporary inconvenience to ordinary users using Telegram, but officials believe that this step is necessary to maintain the fairness of the examination.<\/p>\n

NTA said that the Indian Cyber \u200b\u200bCrime Coordination Center (I4C), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), working under the Ministry of Home Affairs, CBI and Bihar, Gujarat and Rajasthan Police are continuously taking action in this case. Bihar Police has already advised students to beware of such fake claims.<\/p>\n

Trust only official sources<\/strong>
At present, further information regarding the restoration of Telegram service and its features will be released by the concerned authorities. Students are advised not to believe any rumor and get information only from the official source (website) neet.nta.nic.in and official social media handles of NTA.<\/p>\n

If any student or parent gets information about cheating or suspicious activity in the name of paper leak, then immediately report it on National Cyber \u200b\u200bHelpline 1930 or cybercrime.gov.in.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
