She seemingly landed awkwardly on her right ankle and looked in immense pain with her teammates surrounding her.<\/p>\n<p>She was then stretchered off, with the bowler covering her face in disappointment throughout.<\/p>\n<p>Shafali Verma then completed her over.<\/p>\n<p>Shreyanka spent nearly 14 months on the sidelines after a fractured finger sustained during an Asia Cup match against Pakistan in July 2024. Her injury woes continued with severe shin issues in both legs and a fractured left thumb, before she finally returned to action for Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the WPL earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d be lying if I said I wasn\u2019t depressed or that I didn\u2019t think about giving up cricket. That\u2019s how I felt initially during the injury phase. But there was a voice inside me saying, \u2018No matter what, I love playing this sport. I\u2019m here only because I love playing it\u2019,\u201d Shreyanka told JioStar after India\u2019s win over Pakistan at Edgbaston.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, I couldn\u2019t give up on something I love doing. I kept my head high, my dad kept talking to me, and my family supported me throughout. The atmosphere around me and the strong support system I had, I was always surrounded by great people.
