While announcing iOS 27 at WWDC 2026, Apple paid more attention to Siri AI, Apple Intelligence and many new AI features. But with this update, a feature is also going to come for which iPhone users were waiting for a long time. In iOS 27, there will now be separate volume controls for different types of sounds. That means users will be able to set the sound of ringtone, alarm, timer and system sound separately as per their need.<\/p>\n

Till now, the same volume setting had to be used for different types of notifications and alerts in iPhone. Because of this, if a user wanted to reduce the sound of the alarm, the sound of the ringtone would also be affected. Many users were demanding this change for a long time and now Apple has finally included it in iOS 27.<\/p>\n

New feature will be available in this setting<\/strong>
According to the report, the new feature will be available in the Sounds and Haptics section of the Settings app. Here users will be able to separately control the sound of ringtone, alarm and timer as well as system sound and notification. With this, the experience of using iPhone will become easier than before.<\/p>\n

Apple has also added a new option called \u201cMatch Ringtone Volume\u201d in iOS 27. If this option is on, all sounds will use the same volume setting as before. But by turning it off, users will be able to set different volume levels for different sound categories.<\/p>\n

According to the company, this feature will not be applicable on Wake-Up Alarm and some special alarms, because there is already a separate volume setting for them. The system sound category will include sounds like keyboard click, camera shutter sound and message notification.<\/p>\n

Although there will not be an option to set a different volume for each alarm in iOS 27, still this change can prove to be very useful for iPhone users. This feature has been present in Android smartphones for many years and now Apple is also moving in this direction.<\/p>\n

The developer beta of iOS 27 has been released, while the public beta is expected next month. The final update can be released for all supported iPhone models later this year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
