{"id":182773,"date":"2026-06-19T16:03:52","date_gmt":"2026-06-19T21:33:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newslink360.space\/?p=182773"},"modified":"2026-06-19T16:03:52","modified_gmt":"2026-06-19T21:33:52","slug":"telangana-lokayukta-orders-cid-probe-into","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newslink360.space\/?p=182773","title":{"rendered":"Telangana Lokayukta orders CID probe into"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"content-body-71123644\">Lokayukta of Telangana has directed the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to complete the probe into alleged large scale financial irregularities against Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) within four weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Acting on complaints submitted by the Telangana Cricket Association (TCA), Justice Rajashekhar Reddy has directed the CID to investigate the allegations against HCA and submit a report within four weeks.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe complainants reportedly allege financial irregularities exceeding \u20b9600 crore over the last fifteen years, unauthorized transfer of 18 GHMC-affiliated cricket clubs to private individuals, and an alleged transfer of \u20b969 crore from HCA funds to Visaka Industries,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p><b>ALSO READ | <a href=\"https:\/\/sportstar.thehindu.com\/cricket\/ambati-rayudu-appointed-head-of-cricket-operations-hyderabad-cricket-association-plans-corruption-manifesto\/article70943765.ece\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ambati Rayudu takes charge as HCA Head of Cricket Operations, vows to fight corruption<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p>This comes a day after the Telangana High Court directed HCA to release \u20b927 lakh in pending cricket development grants to Mahmood Cricket Club and implement an order passed by its Ombudsman. Justice Nagesh Bheemapaka, allowing a writ petition filed by the club, directed the HCA to clear the dues within eight weeks.<\/p>\n<p>HCA\u2019s inaugural TG20 League \u2013 scheduled to get underway on June 21 \u2013 is also facing legal hurdles.<\/p>\n<p>Two of the state\u2019s cricketers, Gourav Sharma and M. Mahender Reddy, have filed proceedings before the High Court questioning the legality and validity of the tournament. They have sought its immediate suspension, stating stated that the league\u2019s status and governance structure were not disclosed to those taking part in it.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this week, TCA also issued legal notices to actors Vijay Deverakonda and Venkatesh Daggubati over their association with the TG20 League.
