More than 35 design and feature upgrades have been given in the new Kiger, which make it more aggressive in the segment. The special thing is that now the turbo petrol manual transmission (MT) variant is starting at \u20b9 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it one of the most affordable turbo-powered SUV options.<\/p>\n<p>This update is based on Renault&#8217;s &#8216;Rethink Performance&#8217; philosophy, in which style, performance, fuel efficiency and safety have been balanced. The length of the sub-4 meter SUV remains 3991 mm, wheelbase is 2500 mm and ground clearance is 205 mm, which performs well in both city and highway. The new model comes with attractive colors, new Renault logo and sporty elements. The variants available include Authentic, Evolution, Techno and Emotion. Features like 360\u00b0 camera, ventilated seats and premium audio are available in the top variants.<\/p>\n<h2>Design and interior<\/h2>\n<p>The exterior of the new Kiger is quite bold and refreshed. New front and rear bumpers, additional fog lights in the split headlamps, new Renault logo, new graphics on the C-pillar and 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels give it a premium look. Special turbo badges and red brake callipers are available on turbo variants. The black cladding and LED light package add to the sporty appeal. Overall, it looks more modern and aggressive than before.<\/p>\n<p>New color combinations, updated upholstery and new steering wheel (with new logo) have been provided in the cabin. Dual-tone upholstery, ambient lighting and leatherette seats (in higher variants) provide a premium feel. The space is quite practical with an 8-inch or 20.32 cm touchscreen, wireless smartphone connectivity and a digital driver display. 405 liters of boot space is enough for family use.<\/p>\n<h3>Features and safety<\/h3>\n<p>The new Kiger is feature-packed. Highlights include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, push-button start, wireless charger, rain-sensing wipers, auto headlamps, cruise control, 360\u00b0 camera (top variants) and Arcamis 3D sound system. Rear AC vents and electric ORVMs add comfort.<\/p>\n<p>There is a big upgrade in safety. Now 6 airbags are standard in all variants. It has features like ESP, TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring), Hill Start Assist, ABS and rear camera. Higher variants come with 360\u00b0 view and additional safety features, giving the best safety scores in the segment.<\/p>\n<h3>Engine and Performance<\/h3>\n<p>There are two engine options available in it. The first is a 1.0-litre NA petrol (72 PS \/ 96 Nm), which comes with a 5-speed MT or AMT. Second, there is 1.0-litre turbo petrol (100 PS \/ 160 Nm MT, 152 Nm CVT). The turbo engine gives spirited performance, especially in highway overtaking. The mileage claimed in Turbo MT is around 20.38 kmpl. Ride quality and handling are balanced, making it a family SUV worth enjoying.<\/p>\n<p>Overall, the updated Renault Kiger offers a great combination of style, features, safety and performance.
