Waterlogging and deep pits. It is extremely difficult for conventional cars to deal with these conditions, especially when it comes to electric vehicles (EVs), where the battery pack fits under the vehicle. In such a situation, an electric SUV with high ground clearance emerges as the safest option.<\/p>\n<p>There are now powerful electric vehicles available in India which are not only environment friendly, but their ground clearance is ready for any tough test. If you too are fed up of monsoon floods and bad roads, then three of the best SUVs from Mahindra and Tata can prove to be your most reliable companions. These vehicles have the ability to easily cross water-filled roads.<\/p>\n<h2>Mahindra XEV 9S<\/h2>\n<p>Mahindra&#8217;s XEV 9S is a large and premium three-row electric SUV, which is fully capable of running on bad roads. This vehicle has an impressive ground clearance of 201 mm, while its main battery pack is set at a safe height of 222 mm from the ground. This structure keeps the battery completely safe from deep water and rough roads during monsoon.<\/p>\n<p>This SUV is based on Mahindra&#8217;s advanced INGLO skateboard platform, which gives it excellent stability. It has three different battery options of 59 kWh, 70 kWh and 79 kWh, which claim a tremendous range of 521 KM to 679 KM on a single charge. Its strong grip on water-filled roads and torque of 380 Nm make it very powerful.<\/p>\n<h3>Tata Harrier EV<\/h3>\n<p>Tata Harrier EV is known for its strong build quality and excellent road presence in the Indian market. This electric SUV has a high ground clearance of 205 mm, which helps in crossing heavily waterlogged monsoon roads and big potholes without any fear. Due to this, the lower part of the vehicle does not touch the ground or water easily.<\/p>\n<p>The Harrier EV also has the option of all-wheel drive (AWD), which gives excellent grip to the wheels on muddy and slippery roads. It has two battery packs of 65 kWh and 75 kWh, which provide a range of approximately 538 km to 622 km. In difficult conditions, this Tata SUV offers a perfect combination of safety and performance.<\/p>\n<h3>Mahindra XEV 9e<\/h3>\n<p>Mahindra&#8217;s XEV 9e is a very modern and sporty looking electric SUV-coupe. To deal with bad roads and waterlogging, the company has given it an excellent ground clearance of 207 mm. Its battery pack is also fitted at a height of 218 mm above the ground, due to which the risk of short circuit while walking in water is negligible.<\/p>\n<p>This coupe style SUV comes with two powerful battery options of 59 kWh and 79 kWh, which are capable of giving a range of 522 km to 656 km.
