Tata Tiago EV vs MG Comet EV:<\/strong> Tata Tiago EV and MG Comet EV are two affordable options in direct competition in the Indian EV market. The Tiago EV is a 5-seater family car with traditional hatchback styling, while the Comet EV is a compact 4-seater city commuter. Both are available with BaaS (Battery-as-a-Service) option, which reduces upfront costs.<\/p>\n

Tata Tiago EV prices start at \u20b94.69 lakh with BaaS (\u20b92.6\/km battery charge), going from \u20b96.99 lakh to \u20b99.99 lakh without BaaS. MG Comet EV starts at \u20b94.99 lakh + \u20b93.2\/km in BaaS, non-BaaS ranges from \u20b97.63 lakh to \u20b910 lakh (ex-showroom). The Tiago EV is more practical and range-focused, while the Comet EV offers easy maneuvering in the city and stylish looks. Design and interior<\/h2>\n

The design of Tata Tiago EV has an updated hatchback look. It is a car with a long (3825 mm), wide (1684 mm) and conventional 5-door body. It gives better road presence for family use. The MG Comet EV is very compact (2974 mm long), comes with a two-door design, high stance and unique city-friendly looks. The Comet is easier to park and maneuver in tight spaces, while the Tiago feels more stable and spacious.<\/p>\n

Tiago EV gets 5 seater space, better rear leg room and 240 liters of boot space. The interior is modern. Floating digital cluster, touchscreen and good material quality. Comet EV is a 4-seater, the front seating is spacious but the rear is tight. It has 350 liters of boot space. Gives premium feel, leatherette seats and good view, but Tiago is better for family.<\/p>\n

Features and safety<\/h3>\n

Both have features like 10.25-inch touchscreen, wireless Android Auto\/Apple CarPlay, power windows and rear camera. Tiago EV gets 360\u00b0 camera, cruise control, auto AC and more drive modes. Comet EV has good rotary gear shifter, wireless charging (top variants) and smart connectivity. Tiago looks more tech-loaded.<\/p>\n

Tata Tiago EV is strong in safety. It comes with 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, TPMS, traction control and a good global NCAP score track record. On the other hand, MG Comet EV gets 2 airbags as standard and some important safety features. Both also have IP67 rated battery safety.<\/p>\n

Battery, Motor and Range<\/h3>\n

Tata Tiago EV comes with two battery pack options \u2013 19.2 kWh (61 hp, 110 Nm, 223-250 km range) and 24 kWh (75 hp, 114 Nm, ARAI 285-293 km). MG Comet EV gets 230 km ARAI range with 17.3 kWh battery (42 hp, 110 Nm). The Tiago is more powerful and has a longer range, while the Comet is adequate for the city. Both support AC charging, Tiago has better DC fast charging.<\/p>\n

Who is better:<\/strong> If you want family use, more range and practicality, then Tata Tiago EV is better. Choose MG Comet EV for pure city commuting, easy driving and unique looks. BaaS makes both cheaper, but calculate according to usage in the long run. Overall, Tiago EV seems to be more value for money.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
