Skoda has launched its first RS badged SUV Kodiaq RS in India. This 7-seater family SUV will combine sporty performance and take Skoda’s RS heritage of over 50 years to new heights. The India-spec model comes with a 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine, which generates 265 hp power and 400 Nm torque. With 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and AWD system, it accelerates from 0-100 km\/h in 6.3 seconds, making it the fastest Skoda car launched in India.<\/p>\n

Available in limited numbers (about 50 units in the first batch), this SUV will attract performance enthusiasts with its premium feel. Its ex-showroom price has been kept at \u20b966.99 lakh, which makes it much more expensive than the regular Kodiaq (\u20b937-47 lakh) but unique in its class. With an aggressive design, luxurious interiors and advanced safety, the Kodiaq RS offers the perfect balance of practicality and a thrilling drive. Coming as a CBU import, this car will be ideal for those buyers who want a combination of luxury, space and performance.<\/p>\n

Design and interior<\/h2>\n

The Kodiaq RS comes with RS-specific updates while retaining the robust body of the standard model. The glossy black grille, LED Matrix headlights with adaptive front lighting, large air intakes and RS badging make the front look aggressive. 20-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers, black ORVMs, roof rails and RS spoiler at the rear, diffuser and polished exhaust tips give it a sportier look. Colors like Moon White, Magic Black, Velvet Red and Steel Gray are available. Overall, it will dominate the road.<\/p>\n

Its cabin is as practical as the standard Kodiaq but comes with RS touch. Black perforated leather upholstery, red contrast stitching, sport seats with RS badging (integrated headrests) and an RS-branded steering wheel add to the sporty feel. The 7-seater layout offers good space till the third row. Panoramic sunroof, ambient lighting and high-quality materials create a feel of luxury.<\/p>\n

Features and safety<\/h3>\n

Features like 12.9 or 13-inch touchscreen infotainment, 10.25-inch virtual cockpit, 13-speaker Canton sound system, Android Auto\/Apple CarPlay, 360\u00b0 camera, powered tailgate, three-zone climate control, heated\/ventilated front seats, powered driver seat with memory function, wireless charging and ambient lighting are standard. Dynamic Chassis Control Plus (DCC Plus) and Drive Mode Select make driving more fun.<\/p>\n

Safety features like 9 airbags, Level-2 ADAS (Adaptive Cruise, Lane Assist etc.), ESC, ABS with EBD, TPMS, Hill Descent Control, 360\u00b0 camera, ISOFIX and Driver Attention Monitor make it quite strong. Upgraded brakes (slotted discs, twin-piston callipers) keep the high-speed performance in check.<\/p>\n

Engine and Performance<\/h3>\n

Its 1984 cc capacity 2.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine produces 265 hp (195 kW) power and 400 Nm torque. With 7-speed DSG and AWD, 0-100 km\/h can be done in just 6.3 seconds and the top speed is 230+ km\/h. Progressive Steering and DCC Plus ensure better handling. This gives the family SUV a sports car-like feel, while maintaining the practicality of a 7-seater.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
