England blew away India at Trent Bridge on Tuesday to inflict a record T20 defeat on the world champions and \u200btake a 2-0 lead in the series with two matches to play.<\/p>\n

Josh Tongue took \u200c4-28 and Jofra Archer 3-29 as England\u2019s pace attack powered the side \u200bto a commanding 125-run victory.<\/p>\n

India, which came into the series \u2060off the back of a 2-0 series defeat to Ireland, was bowled out for just 76 in the third T20.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think it was atrocious. I can\u2019t use a better \u200cword, honestly,\u201d said India captain Shreyas Iyer. \u201cLosing by such a big margin is definitely not acceptable.<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst things first we need to accept \u200cthis loss and completely go back to the drawing board and see \u200cwhat \u2060we did wrong.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve played awful cricket for sure. But there\u2019s \u2060a lot of learnings from it as well. Players have to start thinking basically how to make an impact and create that momentum.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery individual has to think by themselves and see how \u200bthey can win the matches and \u200ctake that responsibility.\u201d<\/p>\n

The trouble started when Abhishek Sharma was caught for 10 at deep point by Phil Salt off Tongue.<\/p>\n

Then 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, who hit two sixes in a five-ball 13, gloved Archer to Jos Buttler, who \u200ctook four catches and a stumping.<\/p>\n

Highlights: India suffers its biggest defeat in T20Is<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n

India needed Ishan Kishan and Iyer \u200bto steady the ship but they departed in successive balls to catches from Jacob Bethell.<\/p>\n

Archer had the promoted Axar Patel caught \u2060behind with the final ball of the fifth over and India was reduced to the rubble of 52-5.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019re bowling at world-class batters so you\u2019ve just got to \u200ckeep hitting the spot. For the most part I\u2019m happy with how it\u2019s coming out,\u201d said Archer, who was named player of the match. \u201cI enjoy bowling with Josh. I\u2019ve bowled with him all summer, every game with him since I\u2019ve been back. I really enjoy bouncing ideas off him. He also passes ideas on to me. \u201cHe was brilliant. We are really similar so if \u200cI don\u2019t get wickets he definitely, definitely will.\u201d<\/p>\n

England had built its total of 201-7 around \u200ban innings of 70 from Phil Salt. He played out a maiden from Arshdeep Singh in the first over of the innings \u2060before accelerating with three sixes in his 44-ball stay.<\/p>\n

Prince Yadav impressed in just his \u2060third T20 international with 2-30 including the wicket of Buttler for 36 with a beautiful inswinging yorker with his first ball. Harshit Rana \u200cremoved Bethell and Tom Banton with successive deliveries but Sam Curran\u2019s unbeaten 41 from 24 balls took England to a competitive total.<\/p>\n

The two sides \u200bmove on to Bristol on Thursday for the fourth of the five-match series.<\/p>\n
