Ryan ten Doeschate could move on from the Indian men\u2019s team\u2019s support staff, with sources confirming to\u00a0 Sportstar<\/i>\u00a0that the former Netherlands international has expressed his desire to step away at the end of the ongoing white-ball series against England.<\/p>\n

The assistant coach, who previously enjoyed a successful stint with Kolkata Knight Riders, is keen on returning to franchise cricket. Sources indicate he has already received encouraging responses from a few teams but is yet to decide on his next assignment.<\/p>\n

Ten Doeschate has supposedly informed the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of his intention. The Board and head coach Gautam Gambhir are yet to approve the same.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Board is keen on him continuing, but it\u2019s his personal decision. It\u2019s too early to say anything about his next move,\u201d a source told this publication.<\/p>\n

Ten Doeschate, who joined India\u2019s support staff alongside Gambhir two years ago, has completed the term of his initial contract. With his family based in London, the 45-year-old is understood to be looking for a coaching role that involves considerably less travel, allowing him to spend more time at home.<\/p>\n

A return to the franchise circuit would make Ten Doeschate one of the most sought-after options, given his successful association with KKR and his experience with the Indian team over the last two years. However, he is supposedly in no rush to decide on his future and is expected to take a call only after his exit from the national setup is formalised.<\/p>\n

In a significant development, T. Dilip could stay back with the Indian team as the BCCI is expected to offer him another extension. Earlier, there were reports claiming that Dilip could move on, but it is believed that the team management and the BCCI are keen on continuing with him.<\/p>\n
