It balances classic looks, performance and everyday riding. The prices of both are very close in the Indian market, which brings them into direct competition.<\/p>\n<p>Ex-showroom price of Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 starts from \u20b9 3,37,909. Whereas, BSA Goldstar 650 can be purchased at a starting ex-showroom price of \u20b9 3,34,950. Both of these are premium options in the 650cc segment, where Enfield&#8217;s parallel-twin engine is known for cruising and BSA&#8217;s single-cylinder engine gives torquey performance. Let&#8217;s take a look at the design, engine and performance details of both.<\/p>\n<h2>design details<\/h2>\n<p>The Interceptor 650 is a classic British roadster styled machine. There is symmetry based on the golden ratio, wide handlebar, low seat height and 1970s inspired colors (like canyon red, black green). Its look is modern-classic, which suits both city and highway. Whereas, BSA Goldstar 650 is a tribute to the original Gold Star. It comes with retro design, wire-spoke wheels, premium paint and sleek lines. It looks a little more traditional, weighs only 201 kg and offers easy handling with a low 782mm seat height. Both the bikes are visually attractive, but the Interceptor seems more versatile.<\/p>\n<h3>Who is ahead in features?<\/h3>\n<p>The Interceptor gets LED headlamps, USB port, premium switch gear, cast alloy wheels and gas-charged twin shocks. ABS, dual channel braking and comfortable ergonomics make it ideal for long rides. BSA Goldstar is equipped with premium features. It gets Brembo brakes, Pirelli tyres, Excel rims, twin-pod instrument cluster and ABS. Its single-cylinder layout and adjustable suspension provide comfort. The 652cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine of the BSA Goldstar 650 offers 45 hp and 55 Nm of torque, which is strong at low-down torque. Both have 5-speed gearbox. The smoothness of the Interceptor is more appreciated, while the Goldstar&#8217;s engine gives a classic single-cylinder thump.<\/p>\n<p>The Interceptor 650 mileage is around 23-25 \u200b\u200bkmpl (real-world), while the BSA Goldstar 650 can deliver around 25-26 kmpl or better.
