In the SUV and crossover categories, the Toyota Hyrider posted strong growth, while the Innova Hycross also made good gains. Maruti Suzuki models showed strong monthly growth, with Victoris especially attracting attention with a 91.4% increase.<\/p>\n<p>This trend shows that Indian customers are now increasingly turning towards petrol-electric hybrid technology. Demand for hybrid vehicles is increasing due to fuel savings, low emissions and government incentives. The figures for June 2026 are also showing positive signs compared to last year. Auto industry experts believe that the hybrid segment will strengthen in the coming months as customers are shifting from traditional ICE vehicles to hybrids. Its sales stood at 3,550 units, which is 13.7% more than 3,123 units in May 2026. The popularity of this model is due to its attractive design, powerful hybrid powertrain and excellent mileage. Hyryder remains the first choice of customers in the mid-size SUV segment. The company&#8217;s strong dealer network and marketing strategy has also helped in increasing sales. This increase reflects the increasing confidence in hybrid technology.<\/p>\n<h3>Toyota Innova Hycross<\/h3>\n<p>Innova Hycross sold 2,702 units in June 2026, which is 36.3% less than 4,240 units in May. This drop is surprising as the Innova Hycross is touted as the premium hybrid option in the MPV segment. Sales were probably affected due to seasonal effects, stock shortage or competition. Nevertheless, demand for this model remains strong in the long run. Toyota will have to focus on new offers and promotions to improve its sales in the coming months.<\/p>\n<h3>Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara<\/h3>\n<p>Maruti Grand Vitara recorded sales of 723 units in June 2026, up 21.7% from 594 units in May. This increase is due to the model&#8217;s reliability, affordable price and good fuel efficiency. Grand Vitara is popular among young buyers and family users. This success of Maruti shows that the company is giving tough competition to Toyota in the hybrid segment.<\/p>\n<h3>Maruti Suzuki Victoris<\/h3>\n<p>Maruti Victoris made the most impressive performance in June 2026. Its sales stood at 515 units, which is a huge increase of 91.4% from 269 units in May. This figure makes Victoris the star of the hybrid segment. Its demand has suddenly increased due to its attractive features, spacious interior and excellent driving experience.<\/p>\n<h3>Maruti Suzuki Invicto<\/h3>\n<p>Maruti Invicto sold 349 units in June 2026, which is 15.9% more than 301 units in May. Invicto offers the best combination of ride comfort and hybrid technology in the premium MPV segment. This stable growth shows the strong positioning of the company. Although the sales volume is still less than other models, the trend is positive.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from the top-5 cars of the segment mentioned above, 191 units of Toyota Camry, 152 units of Honda City and only 140 units of Toyota Vellfire were sold last month.
