{"id":198348,"date":"2026-07-29T02:43:36","date_gmt":"2026-07-29T08:13:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newslink360.space\/?p=198348"},"modified":"2026-07-29T02:43:36","modified_gmt":"2026-07-29T08:13:36","slug":"ipls-business-value-soars-above-20-billion-says-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newslink360.space\/?p=198348","title":{"rendered":"IPL\u2019s business value soars above $20 billion, says report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><br \/>\n<\/p>\n<div id=\"content-body-71280416\">The business value of the Indian Premier League, the \u200bworld\u2019s richest Twenty20 series, has soared more than \u200c11% to $20.6 billion this year, according to \u200bU.S.-based investment bank Houlihan Lokey.<\/p>\n<p>Since its \u2060launch in 2008, the 10-team competition has consistently attracted cricket\u2019s leading players, while building a commercial model that \u200ccombines broadcast revenues, sponsorship, merchandising and franchise investment.<\/p>\n<p>Ownership changes at its Royal Challengers \u200cBengaluru and Rajasthan Royals franchises earlier \u200cthis \u2060year further demonstrated the IPL\u2019s appeal to \u2060major investors and the premium attached to established teams within the league. A consortium comprising Blackstone, Bolt Ventures, Aditya \u200bBirla Group and \u200cTimes of India Group said in March it would acquire the Bengaluru franchise for a league-record $1.78 billion.
