JSW MG Motor to raise car prices by up to 2% from January 1, 2026, across models
JSW MG Motor India, on Thursday, announced that it will increase vehicle prices by up to 2% across its product range from January 1, 2026. The company said the hike will vary by model and variant.The automaker said the price increase is being implemented to offset rising input costs and other macroeconomic factors. The revision will apply to all vehicle offerings sold by the company.
The announcement comes amid a broader industry trend of price increases. Luxury carmakers Mercedes-Benz India and BMW have said they will raise prices from January 2026, while Volvo is also expected to increase prices during the same period.
BYD India has also announced a price hike effective January 2026. Earlier, automakers including Hyundai, Honda and Skoda said they would raise vehicle prices by 2 to 3%, citing higher input costs and operational expenses.Although Mahindra has ruled out a routine January 2026 hike, it has left the door open for future increases if raw material costs rise sharply.

JSW MG Motor India operates as a joint venture between SAIC Motor and JSW Group. The company operates a manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, with an annual production capacity exceeding 100,000 vehicles and providing direct and indirect employment to approximately 6,000 people.
Morris Garages, which was founded in the UK in 1924, sells several models in India, including the MG Hector, MG ZS EV, MG Gloster, MG Astor, MG Comet and MG Windsor.
