Ishan Kishan slams record-equalling century against Haryana in SMAT 2025-26 final

Jharkhand captain Ishan Kishan smashed a century in the final of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Haryana at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Thursday.

The left-hander brought up his sixth T20 ton off 45 balls with a one-handed six over cover off medium-pacer Anshul Kamboj’s bowling. Kishan also equalled Abhishek Sharma’s record for most centuries in the history of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy by raising his fifth hundred in the tournament. This was his second century of the ongoing tournament, after his 50-ball unbeaten 113 against Tripura last month.

Kishan was eventually clean bowled for 101 off 49 balls by Sumit Kumar in the 15th over of Jharkhand’s innings.

The out-of-favour India wicketkeeper-batter has been in scorching form in the ongoing T20 domestic competition and leads the run charts with 517 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 197.32.
