Devon Conway becomes 10th man in history to score century, double hundred in same Test

New Zealand’s Devon Conway on Sunday became the first player from his nation and overall, only the 10th man in history to hit a double hundred and a century in the same Test during the fourth day of the ongoing red-ball fixture against West Indies in Mount Maunganui.

After his 227 in the first innings, Conway scored 100 in the second essay.

Only Doug Walters, Greg Chappell, Marnus Labuschagne, Sunil Gavaskar, Shubman Gill, Lawrence Rowe, Brian Lara, Graham Gooch and Kumar Sangakkara had achieved the feat before Conway.

Also, Conway’s aggregate of 327 is the third-highest in a single red-ball game for the Kiwis. Only Stephen Fleming (343) and Martin Crowe (329) are ahead of him.
