Sridhar Babu inspects collapsed check dam at Adavi Somanpalli in Peddapalli

Telangana Minister for IT and Industries, D. Sridhar Babu, has said a detailed and impartial inquiry will be conducted into all aspects, from construction to the collapse, of the check dam at Adavi Somanpalli village in Manthani mandal to unravel the facts.

Speaking to media persons after inspecting the site on Tuesday (December 23, 2025), where the check dam across the Manair stream at Adavi Somanpalli collapsed recently, he said the State government has already ordered a vigilance inquiry into the incident to determine the exact cause of the check dam’s collapse. Stern action would be taken against those if found guilty of causing harm to the interests of farmers.
