Car with carcasses of three deer and country guns seized near Tiruchi

Carcasses of three deer and a couple of country guns were found inside a car near Tiruchi by the police during routine rounds in the early hours on Sunday. 

The police personnel of Siruganur station saw a car parked at Perakambi junction at around 4 a.m. The occupants of the car fled the spot on noticing the policemen.

The police team found carcasses of three deer, two country guns with 41 rounds of ammunition, and a mobile phone inside the car. An alert was sounded to the Siruganur police station.  The vehicle with the carcasses and country guns has been seized.

The seized car along with the carcasses and the country guns were later handed over to the Forest Department officials to initiate legal proceedings, said police sources.
