Virat Kohli returns to Vijay Hazare Trophy: Indian star batter likely to play for Delhi against Railways in VHT 2025-26

Virat Kohli is likely to make himself available for Delhi’s Vijay Hazare Trophy fixture against Railways on January 6.

The former India captain, who featured in the first two games of the tournament before returning to London, has left behind his kit at the Delhi team hotel, and is expected to link up with the team a day or two prior the game in Bengaluru.

“He has communicated to us that he will be available for three games, so for now, he is set to play the fixture against Railways. We are very hopeful,” Rohan Jaitley, the president of the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), told Sportstar.

In the two games that he featured in for Delhi, Kohli scored 131 and 77. Kohli’s presence will be a boost for Delhi, which hopes to qualify for the knockouts.

Virat will join the Indian team for the three ODIs against New Zealand, with the squad scheduled to link up in Vadodara on January 7 ahead of the series opener on January 11.
