HanuMan actor Teja Sajja recently shared his interest in working with filmmaker Karan Johar and acting in a romantic film backed by Dharma Productions. While promoting the television premiere of his film Mirai, Teja spoke to Zoom and described Karan Johar as “extremely sweet,” while hinting at a possible future collaboration.

Teja was asked whether he would like to collaborate with Karan Johar, especially since the filmmaker had distributed Mirai in the northern markets. Responding enthusiastically, Teja said, “Have you ever met Karan sir? Whenever you have a chance, please ask him from my side. Please ask him, when are you casting Teja in your chakachak (immaculate) Dharma love story? I would also want to experience that.”

While a Dharma-backed love story did not appear to be immediately in the works, Teja hinted that discussions were underway. He added, “Jokes apart, we’re actually planning to do something interesting. Dharma is now venturing into many avenues, and Karan sir has been a really kind person. He’s extremely sweet.”

The actor also shared that he was open to working on OTT platforms, provided the script and project appealed to him.

Teja Sajja’s career so far
Teja Sajja began his acting journey at the age of three with Chiranjeevi’s 1998 film Choodalani Vundi. As a child artist, he went on to appear in several films through the late 1990s and early 2000s, sharing screen space with stars such as Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, Chiranjeevi, and Allu Arjun.

He made his debut as an adult actor in 2019 with Oh! Baby, starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In 2021, Teja stepped into lead roles with Prasanth Varma’s Zombie Reddy, followed by Ishq and Adbhutham the same year.

His popularity surged after the release of HanuMan in 2024, which emerged as a major box office success despite competition from films featuring Mahesh Babu, Venkatesh, and Nagarjuna. Teja was last seen in Mirai this year and is yet to announce his next project.
