Mahindra XUV 7XO: Design and Exterior Highlights
Early leaks and walkaround videos before the launch show that the car looks different with a more aggressive grille, updated LED headlights, and a new bumper style. The 7XO SUV also features new alloy wheel designs, and the rear LED lighting has been redesigned along with a thin black applique. It further gives a sharper, more modern road presence, but the general profile remains recognisable.
Premium Interior and Technology
Inspired by Mahindra’s electric XEV series, the XUV 7XO is expected to feature a segment-first triple-screen dashboard layout. It combines a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment touchscreen, and a dedicated front passenger display for the first time in a Mahindra internal-combustion SUV.
Advanced connectivity and comfort features reportedly include:
540-degree surround camera system for enhanced visibility.
Level 2+ ADAS suite with real-time visualisation and safety alerts.
Boss Mode allows rear passengers to electronically adjust front seats.
Panoramic sunroof and harmonised ambient lighting.
16-speaker Harman Kardon audio with Dolby Atmos and VenueScapes Live.
Wireless chargers, dual-zone climate control and ventilated seat.
According to Industry sources, Mahindra is pitching the 7XO as a software-defined vehicle, bringing its internal combustion SUV technology closer to those of more recent electric versions.
Mahindra XUV 7XO: Performance and Variants
The sturdy mechanical base of the XUV700 continues to be there beneath the surface of the XUV 7XO. The 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engines with 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gears are expected to be carried over, with certain diesel trims offering all-wheel drive.
These produce 182 bhp-450 Nm and 200 bhp-380 Nm on the XUV 700, respectively. All Wheel Drive (AWD) was formerly available on some higher versions of the pre-facelift. It is uncertain if the 7XO will have the same configuration.
Mahindra XUV 7XO: Pricing and Availability
Analysts predict that the XUV 7XO will be priced between ₹15 lakh and ₹28 lakh (ex-showroom), indicating its premium positioning above the discontinued XUV700. Official pricing will be revealed at today’s launch event.
The XUV 7XO, an upgraded version of the XUV700, will compete against the Tata Safari, Hyundai Alcazar, Toyota Innova Hycross, MG Hector Plus, and Maruti Suzuki Invicto.
Mahindra’s position in the competitive three-row SUV market is expected to be reinforced by the XUV 7XO’s combination of comfort, technology, and modern style.
