Young Indian wicketkeeper G. Kamalini displayed her keeping chops as she took a stunning catch to send Delhi Capitals captain Jemimah Rodrigues back to the hut on Saturday at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai during a 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL) match.

The fixture was Jemimah’s debut as DC captain after she was handed the reins ahead of this season. However, it was a forgettable outing with the bat for her.

While facing just her third ball, Jemimah edged a Shabnim Ismail delivery behind the stumps. It seemed that it would beat the ‘keeper and go fine, but Kamalini took off to her right and plucked a stunner. According to the official broadcast, the 17-year-old’s reaction time was 0.80s.

Jemimah was dismissed for a solitary run to her name.
