BYD India to hike prices of its e-SUV Sealion 7 from 2026
The Sealion 7 is available in two variants. The Performance variant with an 82.56 kWh battery is priced at ₹54.9 lakh ex-showroom, and the Premium variant with the same battery is priced at ₹48.9 lakh ex-showroom.
The SUV was unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 and has crossed 2,000 sales across India since launch. BYD says this shows rising demand for its fully electric SUV.Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles at BYD India, said, “The BYD SEALION 7 has struck a chord with customers across India… With the planned price revision from early 2026, we want to ensure that customers who have been waiting to purchase the BYD SEALION 7 can still benefit from the current pricing till 31 December 2025.”
The Sealion 7 features BYD’s iTAC torque control system and CTB (Cell to Body) technology, which integrates the Blade Battery into the chassis. It uses an 82.56 kWh battery pack and comes in Premium and Performance trims.
The Performance variant accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, delivers 390 kW and 690 Nm, and has a claimed NEDC range of 542 km.
The Premium variant accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, delivers 230 kW and 380 Nm, and has a claimed NEDC range of 567 km. The SUV measures 4,830 mm in length with a 2,930 mm wheelbase and holds a 5-star GNCAP safety rating.
