February 2026 auto launches: SUVs and EVs to dominate India market; BMW, Audi, Tata line-up

MG Majestor – expected 12 FebruaryThe MG Majestor is positioned as a premium full-size SUV and is essentially a reworked version of the Gloster. First shown at Auto Expo 2025, it is based on the Maxus D90 sold overseas. MG is expected to sell it alongside the Gloster, with the emphasis on features and strong road presence.
Audi Q6 e-tron – expected 15 February
Audi’s Q6 e-tron sits on the new Premium Platform Electric, co-developed with Porsche. It uses an 800-volt system and a dual-motor setup. This model marks Audi’s deeper push into high-end EVs and expands its electric SUV range in India.
MG 4 EV – expected 15 February
The MG 4 EV is set to enter the 51–64 kWh battery bracket. An automatic transmission comes as standard. Claimed range figures go up to around 350 kilometres, positioning it as a practical urban electric hatchback.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno 2026 – expected 15 February
The Baleno update is expected to bring minor exterior tweaks, interior revisions and additional features. Its core traits — comfort and ease of driving — are likely to remain unchanged.
Kia Syros EV – expected 17 February
Kia’s Syros EV is expected to come with an automatic transmission and a claimed range of nearly 390 kilometres. It will add to Kia’s growing EV line-up in India.
VinFast VF9 – expected 17 February
The VF9 is a large electric SUV with a 123 kWh battery pack. The claimed range stands at around 531 kilometres. It represents VinFast’s move into the premium EV category.
VinFast VF3 – expected 18 February
The VF3 is a compact, city-focused electric SUV with a boxy design. It is positioned as an affordable entry model for the brand in India.
Toyota Urban Cruiser Ebella – expected 19 February
Toyota’s Ebella will be its first mass-market electric SUV in India. Built on a dedicated EV platform, it targets the mid-size electric SUV segment.
Nissan Gravite – expected 25 February
The Gravite MPV signals Nissan’s renewed India strategy. Developed locally, it focuses on practicality and space.
Tata Sierra EV – expected 26 February
The Sierra EV revives a legacy nameplate in the electric vehicle market. It blends retro design cues with a modern EV platform.
