CGI elevates Gopal Chhetri to lead GCC operations amid strategic shift

CGI, one of the world’s largest independent IT and business consulting services firms, has named Gopal Chhetri as leader of its Global Capability Centers (GCCs) business. Currently serving as Senior Vice-President, Asia Pacific Global Delivery Centers of Excellence, Chhetri will spearhead CGI’s AI-first GCC strategy.

In his new role, Chhetri will focus on scaling delivery and transformation capabilities for clients while strengthening India’s position within CGI’s global delivery ecosystem. The appointment comes as GCCs transition from purely operational functions to strategic innovation and modernisation drivers.

CGI is positioning itself to help clients integrate GCCs into their core enterprise strategies, with emphasis on measurable business outcomes rather than process efficiency alone.
