EMotorad sets Guinness record with 24-hour e-bike delivery in Andhra Pradesh’s Kuppam


EMotorad has recently earned a Guinness World Records title for the “Largest Electric Bicycle Delivery” during a 24-hour distribution drive in Andhra Pradesh’s Kuppam on January 31, 2026.The record attempt was conducted with support from the District Collectorate of Chittoor, Kuppam Area Development Authority, and IIT Kanpur. Organisers delivered electric bicycles continuously for 24 hours, with beneficiaries collecting cycles until 4 am.
The initiative was linked to the “Super Cycle” programme associated with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. EMotorad said it distributed cycles to more than 10,000 families in Kuppam and the Chittoor district. Beneficiaries included small traders, MSME operators, shop owners, cattle owners, milk sellers, and other workers who depend on daily travel. For many recipients, this was their first personal vehicle.
All bicycles used in the record attempt were assembled by the EMotorad team within 72 hours before the event. The company said more than 1,000 team members were involved.“This is a model example of a high impact, high currency and high velocity Public-Private partnership. Confirming the record, Swapnil Dangrikar, Senior Adjudicator, Guinness World Records, said, “This was a record attempt for the largest electric bicycle delivery. This record has never happened before. So this was a new category created. Congratulations to the EMotorad team, you’re officially amazing.”

Gupta added, “This is obviously just the beginning. We have atleast 20 other EOI discussions lined up with other Nodal Authorities and Collectorates across India who see the value and impact of our product. The objective is to take this number to 100,000 cycles delivered by November 2026.”

The electric bicycles supplied under the programme are built for daily commuting. They include removable rechargeable batteries, pedal-assist modes, front suspension, and mechanical disc brakes. The company said running and maintenance costs are minimal, making them suitable for work and household travel.
