EMotorad sets Guinness record with 24-hour e-bike delivery in Andhra Pradesh’s Kuppam
The initiative was linked to the “Super Cycle” programme associated with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. EMotorad said it distributed cycles to more than 10,000 families in Kuppam and the Chittoor district. Beneficiaries included small traders, MSME operators, shop owners, cattle owners, milk sellers, and other workers who depend on daily travel. For many recipients, this was their first personal vehicle.
All bicycles used in the record attempt were assembled by the EMotorad team within 72 hours before the event. The company said more than 1,000 team members were involved.“This is a model example of a high impact, high currency and high velocity Public-Private partnership. I am absolutely elated to have been able to do this with the District Collectorate of Chittoor and Kuppam Area Development Authority. Special thanks to KADA PD IAS Vikas Marmat Ji & Chittoor District Collector, IAS Sumit Kumar Ji – Kuppam & Chittoor is lucky to have them.” said Kunal Gupta, Co-founder and CEO, EMotorad.
Confirming the record, Swapnil Dangrikar, Senior Adjudicator, Guinness World Records, said, “This was a record attempt for the largest electric bicycle delivery. This record has never happened before. So this was a new category created. Congratulations to the EMotorad team, you’re officially amazing.”
Gupta added, “This is obviously just the beginning. We have atleast 20 other EOI discussions lined up with other Nodal Authorities and Collectorates across India who see the value and impact of our product. The objective is to take this number to 100,000 cycles delivered by November 2026.”
The electric bicycles supplied under the programme are built for daily commuting. They include removable rechargeable batteries, pedal-assist modes, front suspension, and mechanical disc brakes. The company said running and maintenance costs are minimal, making them suitable for work and household travel.
