India wins Under-19 World Cup 2026, beats England by 100 runs in final
Vaibhav Suryavanshi ran the show for India, hitting a blistering 80-ball 175 after India won the toss and opted to bat. With a 51-ball 53 from Ayush Mhatre providing support, Suryavanshi’s knock catapulted India to 411 for nine in 50 overs.
The 14-year-old smacked 15 fours and 15 sixes in his stunning knock, aggregating 150 runs in boundaries alone. By the time the English saw the back of the southpaw, India had sped to 251 in the 26th over.

The Indian lower middle-order all got starts but failed to convert that into a death over barrage. Despite wickets falling at regular intervals, Abhigyan Kundu and Kanishk Chouhan peppered the boundaries regularly to take the total past 400.
Up against a mammoth total, England started well courtesy of a fifty from opener Ben Dawkins. Thomas Rew and Ben Mayes provided brisk cameos, too, but England caved in to the scoreboard pressure. A middle-order slump reduced the side to 177 for seven from 174 for three, which ultimately led to the huge loss.
Caleb Falconer resisted with his 115 off 67 balls. He was aided in his lone pursuit by James Minto, with whom he struck a 92-run partnership in 80 balls.
R.S. Ambrish, brought back into the attack, broke the burgeoning stand with a well-directed short ball at Minto. From there the ask proved to be too stiff for England. The side folded for 311, handing India a 100-run victory.
