O Romeo Box Office Estimate Day 2: Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri starrer jumps by 45 per cent on Saturday; collects Rs. 13.25 crores :Bollywood Box Office

After collecting Rs. 9.01 crores on Friday, the Sajid Nadiadwala produced O Romeo starring Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri has collected in the range of Rs. 13 crores to Rs. 13.75 crores on the second day. With this, the two-day total of the Vishal Bhardwaj directorial stands at approx. Rs. 22 crores.

The film has benefited from the Valentine’s Day holiday on Saturday, as couples have flocked to cinemas in large numbers to witness this epic tale of love and rage. The reports are mixed, and a larger jump of around 65 to 70 per cent was needed for a film made on this budget.

The two-day business leaves a lot to be covered in the long run, as O Romeo has to reach the triple-digit mark to break even. The first weekend of O Romeo will be around Rs. 35 crores, and it’s the journey from there that will decide the fate of the film. The Sunday business could be impacted by the much hyped India v/s Pakistan World Cup match.

A Monday around the Rs. 5 crore mark is a must to be in the race to enter the Rs. 100 crore club. The second day jump keeps the film in the race, but today, it’s all about what happens post the weekend.
