India captain Harmanpreet Kaur became the most capped player in women’s international cricket during the second T20I against Australia, taking place at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on Thursday.
The 36-year-old, appearing in her 356th international match, surpassed New Zealand’s Suzie Bates, who has featured in 355 international matches for the Kiwis.
Harmanpreet Kaur, playing her 189th T20I, has featured in 161 One-Day Internationals and six Tests so far.
The Women in Blue hold a 1-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. India will also play a three ODIs and a one-off Test against the Aussies.
