The Punch EV facelift is offered in six variants across trims and battery options. The base variant now costs ₹30,000 less than the outgoing model.
Battery, range and performanceThe Tata Punch EV facelift is available with 30kWh and 40kWh battery packs, both paired with a single front-mounted electric motor driving the front wheels.
The new 40kWh battery delivers an ARAI-claimed range of 468 km and a C75 real-world range of 355 km, while the 30kWh version is rated at 365 km (ARAI). The two options are called Medium Range (MR) and Long Range (LR). Tata Motors offers a lifetime, unlimited-kilometre battery warranty.
The 40kWh variants produce 129 hp. Fast-charging support enables a 20–80 percent charge in 26 minutes using a 65kW DC fast charger, with a range top-up of 135 km in 15 minutes.Design, interior and features
Exterior updates include a revised front bumper with a closed-off grille and removal of the black trim between the headlamps. Y-shaped LED DRLs and the centrally mounted charging flap remain unchanged.
The vehicle gets new 16-inch aero-optimised alloy wheels, three new exterior colours with a contrasting black roof, grey body cladding, connected LED tail-lamps and an LED light bar at the rear. Ground clearance is 195 mm and water-wading capacity is 450 mm.
Inside, the dashboard layout remains similar with a dual-tone theme and new trim finishes. Higher variants get a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital driver’s display.
Features include wireless charging, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, connected car technology, a 360-degree camera, automatic climate control, illuminated charging status indicator, voice-assisted sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, three drive modes (Eco, City and Sport), and four regeneration modes via paddle shifters.
Safety features include six airbags as standard, high beam assist, electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, tyre-pressure monitoring system, ISOFIX mounts, ABS with EBD, ESP and HSA.
Tata Motors has structured the line-up for both city users and buyers seeking a longer range. In India, it rivals the Citroen eC3 and sits above the Tiago EV and below the Nexon EV in Tata’s electric range.
