I never clashed.” Over the years, the perceived rivalry largely stemmed from comments made during the larger nepotism debate in Bollywood, where both actors, considered outsiders, were often positioned on opposing sides of public discourse.

When asked whether their public back-and-forth may have inadvertently helped others in the industry, including star kids or insiders, Taapsee responded, “I don’t know about them, but someone or the other must have benefited in some way.” Her remark hints at how media amplification of celebrity disagreements can sometimes shift focus, shape narratives, or even create unintended advantages for third parties.

Despite past headlines, she indicated there is no lingering bitterness. “I am open to being friends,” she said, signalling a willingness to move beyond old narratives. Reiterating her stance as a self-made actor, Taapsee emphasised that her primary focus remains choosing strong scripts and continuing to grow professionally.
