Laddu Holi (Barsana):

This is a unique type of Holi, known as Laddu Holi and celebrated in Radha Rani temple, where people pour sweets on each other.

Lathmar Holi (Barsana & Nandgaon):

This is also a unique type of Holi celebration that happens only in Braj. In this women playfully hit men with the sticks and men protects them with a protective shield.

Phoolon Wali Holi (Vrindavan):

This is mainly celebrated in Vrindavan where people play holi with flowers and flower petals but not with colors.

Widow Holi (Vrindavan):

This is specially for the widows where they play holi after a long isolation. They take part in the festivities and smash colors to celebrate the holi. This breaks the old customs where it is believed that widows can’t play holi with colors.

Rangbharni Ekadashi:

This is an important day when Lord Krishna is offered gulal at the temple.

Holika Dahan:

In the evening time, the bonfire is lit. The bonfire represents the victory of good over evil.

Rangwali Holi

This is the main day, when people play holi by using colorful gulal. People play devotional music and sings bhajan in the sacred streets of Mathura and Vrindavan.
