For her, the coming year represents not a shift from one craft to another, but an evolution that allows both to coexist.

Reflecting on her journey so far, she shared, “Music trained my emotions, acting trained my silence. When I started out as a singer, I learned how to feel deeply and express without filters using the power of my voice and the music that flows. Acting later taught me the value of restraint, of pauses, and of letting stillness speak. As I look toward 2026, I’m excited to keep experimenting in both spaces. I am currently juggling between working on music and acting work simultaneously and that really excites me. I don’t want to abandon music to act, or act at the cost of music”.

Lisa also addressed the industry’s tendency to categorise performers. “People often want to simplify you into one version or one stream of work. But I don’t experience my creativity that way. I’m constantly evolving, and experimentation is what keeps me honest as an artist,” she adds. “I don’t think now that i have been working as an actor i would do away one without the other. I want to be able to do justice to do both and hopefully excel in work that truly excites me. In fact i feel, working on singing or acting motivates me as an artist in each of these fields. Entertaining audiences is the larger goal for me, and that’s what i set to do this year, on stage and on screen”.

As Call Me Bae 2 moves ahead with production and her music slate continues to grow, Lisa Mishra appears set on shaping a career that reflects the full spectrum of her creative ambitions rather than limiting herself to a single label.
