Jasprit Bumrah was named Player of the Match for his mesmerising spell in the final of the T20 World Cup 2026 against New Zealand in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
Bumrah claimed four wickets while conceding just 15 runs to set up India’s convincing 96-run victory over the Kiwis.
The right-arm quick also became India’s highest wicket-taker in T20 World Cup history.
Bumrah’s figures of 4/15 are the best by a pacer in a T20 World Cup final.
The pacer finished as the joint-highest wicket-taker of the tournament with 14 scalps, level with teammate Varun Chakaravarthy.
