Jasprit Bumrah moved to the top of the wicket-takers list for India in the T20 World Cups after picking up a four-wicket haul in the final of the 2026 edition against New Zealand in Ahmedabad.
Bumrah extended his wicket tally to 40 in the competition, going clear of Arshdeep Singh, who has 36 in 22 matches and failed to register a scalp on the day.
The 32-year-old’s figures of 4/15 in four overs were the best by a pacer in T20 World Cup summit clashes, and the second best overall behind Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis (4/12)
