After the increase in the price of LPG cylinder and reduction in supply, the demand for induction stoves has increased rapidly in India. Know the price of induction cooktop online and offline, which brands are cheap and how beneficial it is to buy now…

Demand for induction stove has increased due to expensive LPG and shortage of cylinders.
The price of LPG (gas cylinder) has increased a lot in the last few days. From March 7, 2026, a domestic 14.2 kg cylinder became costlier by Rs 60. Now in Delhi it is Rs 913 (earlier it was Rs 853). It became Rs 912.50 in Mumbai, Rs 939 in Kolkata and Rs 928.50 in Chennai. Commercial (large) cylinder increased by Rs 115, now it costs Rs 1,883 in Delhi. All this has happened because of West Asia (Iran war like situation). The supply of oil and gas decreased there, hence the prices increased. It has become difficult to get cylinders in many cities. People are waiting for 25-30 days.
Due to this, the demand for induction stove in homes has increased very rapidly. Induction sales tripled in Kolkata. There were 10 times more sales on Quick Commerce apps also. People are buying induction to avoid gas tension.
Why is induction stove good?
- It heats up very fast.
- No fear of gas leaks.
- Cleans up easily.
- Runs on electricity, saves money in the long run.
Now the question is: Where is the cheapest induction stove available?
Good offers are being given on online sites like Amazon, Flipkart and Vijay Sales. As of March 2026:
- Models like Lifelong or Kadlec are available for Rs 1,099 to Rs 1,299.
- Bajaj or Pigeon 1800-2000 watt ones for Rs 1,700-2,000.
- Good models from Prestige or Philips are available between Rs 3,000-4,000.
- Even in offline shops, Reliance Digital or Croma is available for Rs 1,800-3,500. There is also the option of EMI, starting from Rs 800-1,000 per month.
What changed in prices in the last 10 days?
After the LPG crisis, the demand for induction increased a lot, but the prices did not increase much. A discount of Rs 100-200 is also available in some models. But if the crisis continues for a long time, prices may increase because parts are becoming expensive.
If you are troubled by the rising price and shortage of gas, then you can buy an induction stove. This will make the kitchen safer and also save money. The government is trying to increase gas production, but right now induction is the best backup.
