Xiaomi 17, 17 Ultra will enter India today, will get advanced Leica 200MP camera, in discussion before launch

Chinese smartphone company Xiaomi is preparing to further strengthen its premium product portfolio in India. The company is going to launch Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra in India today i.e. on March 11. According to the company, the global launch of these devices was done on February 28 during the Mobile World Congress 2026, while their entry in India will take place today.

According to reports, the flagship Xiaomi 17 series smartphones – Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra, will be launched just a day after the Xiaomi Pad 8, i.e. on March 11. The company wants to strengthen its hold in the premium smartphone segment of India through these devices.

Features of Xiaomi 17 series
Both smartphones will come with the latest technology. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset is expected to be available in Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. These phones will run on HyperOS, which will be based on Android 16.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra is considered to be the most advanced model of the company. It will have a 6.9-inch OLED display, which will support 120Hz refresh rate. Talking about the camera, the phone will have a triple camera setup, which may include a 200MP periscope telephoto camera. The camera system is part of the company’s partnership with Leica, which seeks to further improve mobile photography.

On the other hand, Xiaomi 17 will be a compact flagship phone. It can get a 6.3-inch AMOLED display, whose peak brightness is said to be up to 3,500 nits.

Battery and Charging
In terms of battery also, both the phones can be powerful. Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to have around 6000mAh battery, which will support 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. At the same time, the standard Xiaomi 17 is also likely to have the support of big battery and fast charging, which can provide full day backup.

How much can the price be?
Xiaomi 17 has been launched in Black, Blue, Pink and Green colors in the global market, but in India this phone can be available in Black, Blue and Green colors. Whereas Xiaomi 17 Ultra is expected to come in black color only in India at present.

Talking about the price, the global price of Xiaomi 17 Ultra is around €1,499 (approximately ₹ 1.61 lakh), while the starting price of Xiaomi 17 has been kept at €999 (approximately ₹ 1.07 lakh).
