Xiaomi 17 has 100W fast charging and 8K video recording, price starts from Rs 89,999, first sale on this day

Chinese tech company Xiaomi has launched its new flagship smartphone Xiaomi 17 in India. The company has introduced this phone with its premium model Xiaomi 17 Ultra. This smartphone is equipped with the company’s latest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, which is based on 3nm architecture. It is worth noting that this phone was first launched in China with a 7,000mAh battery, but in India and other global markets it has come with a 6,330mAh battery.

The phone has a 50-megapixel triple rear camera setup tuned by Leica and both wired and wireless fast charging support is provided in it.

The starting price of Xiaomi 17 in India has been kept at Rs 89,999. Its 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant is available for Rs 89,999, while 12GB RAM + 512GB storage variant will be available for Rs 99,999. This smartphone will come in Black, Ice Blue and Venture Green color options. Its sale will start from March 18 on Amazon, Xiaomi’s official website and the company’s retail stores.

Under the launch offer, the company’s ‘Never Run Out’ offer will give customers the opportunity to buy the 512GB variant at the price of 256GB. Apart from this, phone damage protection plan worth Rs 9,999 will be given free in the early bird offer running from March 13 to March 17.

Buyers will also get some additional digital benefits, which include 4 months of Spotify Premium, 3 months of YouTube Premium, 3 months of Google AI Pro and benefits up to Rs 31,500 from Reliance Jio.

If we talk about the features, Xiaomi 17 has a 6.3 inch CrystalRes OLED display, whose resolution is 2656×1220 pixels. This display supports 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate and peak brightness of up to 3500 nits. It has HDR10+ and Dolby Vision support.

For performance, the phone has Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which comes with Adreno GPU and Qualcomm AI engine. It has LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. The company has also provided 3D Iceloop cooling system in it, this smartphone runs on HyperOS 3 based on Android 16 and the company’s new HyperAI suite has also been provided in it. This AI feature includes tools like AI writing, AI speech recognition, AI search, AI dynamic wallpaper and circle to search.

In the camera section, Xiaomi 17 has been given a Leica-tuned triple camera setup. It includes 50MP primary camera, 50MP telephoto camera and 50MP ultrawide camera. It has a 50MP autofocus front camera for selfies and video calls. This smartphone supports up to 8K video recording (30fps) and 4K video recording (60fps).

Talking about the battery, Xiaomi 17 has a 6,330mAh battery, which supports 100W wired hypercharge and 50W wireless hypercharge. For connectivity, the phone has Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC and USB Type-C (USB 3.2 Gen 1) port. Apart from this it has Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. This smartphone comes with IP68 dust and water resistance and its weight is about 191 grams.
